Help Me Make My Dervish Better?
I need help with my dervish build atm because my build is starting to get a bit old and not that affective in EON and Some of Factions. I have completed NF so I can access all the dervish skills. I have all the secondary professions bought. What I need you to do is list me good Builds for dervish (I don't mean builds you think are good on your hero or lvl 5 dervish) I want An Avatar. Also I'm not looking at using runes for this. I have all the avatars. Please tell me builds for a level 20 dervish that will work against pretty much anything.
List the Secondaries, the skills & attributes. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Avatar of Melandru, Eternal Aura, Wearying Strike, Pious Haste, Victorious Sweep, Wild Blow, Sunspear Ressurection Signet.
14 Scythe
13 Mysticism
Rest in Earth Prayers for no real reason.
It's pretty much godmode. You could drop the ressurection skill for like, an IAS of some sort, but for PvE, it really doesn't matter. Perma +100HP, condition immunity, stance removal, spammable AoE Deep Wound, a bit of self-healing, and a speed boost. Epic +1.

The build that Faer has posted would work great. I use that build a lot for PvE and so far it hasn't failed me.

How do you manage energy? I've used Melandru in PvE and while it certainly is powerful, hexes are far more damaging the mobs still hit (kinda) hard

I prefer Dwayna to Melandru in PvE, unless in places like Shards of Orr

Personally I like Lyssa. Nice fat energy buff and huge damage generator. Yeah you have to manage your own defense but with your energy pool you can afford to. Chilling victory with Lyssa is insane, it's like a one man one skill spike. Wild Blow makes big nasty with Lyssa too. Radiant scythe does really nice damage with lyssa too.

There is good advice here, just my suggestion. Build, with a Superior Rune of Mysticism, rest minors, rune of whatever vigor, Mysticism 16, Scythe 13, and 6 points left over. Take Ranger Secondary and the leftover points will give you a 3 in Marksmanship. Whatever Avatar seems to fit the map and the rest of the bar as you like.
Now you need a Longbow, the Superweapon! Best I've found for 3 Marksmanship is from a collector named Ouran Odwin, who stands right outside Serentity Temple in Pockmark Flats. For 3 Stormy Eyes he will give you an Ascalon Longbow of Fortitude. 11-18 (which is good damage for only Marksmanship 3), +15% health above 50%, and +25 health! Such a deal!
Customize, stick on a vampiric bowstring, and you have a Longbow that will hit for 10 to 15 or a tad more total damage consistently against real world targets. All of this for free, just using spare points!
Now on Drakkar Lake in EOTN, for instance, Margrid is set up as Beastmaster with a Reef Lurker (seems to fit a former Corsair, eh?). And a Minion Master is along too. Ice elementals, just let the pet and the minions go into melee, and you sit back and gun 'em down at range, no need to use a Scythe. Wisps, you can generally kill one or two, even more as they head in before you need to switch to Scythe. Modniir, open fire with Longbow, let your tank and minions go in and take the brunt of the Modniir knockdowns before going in with your Scythe. Jotun? Kill one or two at range, then go Scythe the rest.
At the very least, beginning combat with a Longbow lets the party take aggro instead of you, which leaves you free to select your targets instead of the targets selecting you!

I currently fixed my build and don't have an avatar now. The reason being is because energy management. I have to use the Mindclouder to cast enchantments and my avatar thus, I go into negative energy. Instead I use this build.
Reaper's Sweep [E]
Victorious Sweep
Mystic Sweep
Vital Boon
Mystic Regeneration
Conviction
Faithful Intervention
Resurrection Signet
16 Scythe
10 Earth Prayers (Can add Minors)
8 Mysticism
So far still surviving so this build can definitely get you the title

Word. Not to mention since Dervish and Paragons have the smallest amount of skills available (include or not including GW:EN) the combinations are limited to the profession's own skill pool. True when you mingle with say the Core professions your variety sky rockets.
When I think of making a Dervish build I focus on incorporating a secondary profession's skills that help trigger Mysticism or cover the Dervish's weakness. I.E. lack of stance removal - medium armor - IMS - Condition removal - Hex Removal (just 1 Dervish Skill:Wind).
Or use a secondary that boosts the Dervish's strengths. Scythes can hit multiple targets.

I use the same build as well, but for some cases I use this Lyssa build:
1) Avatar of Lyssa
2) Eternal Aura
3) Wild Blow / Eremite's Attack
4) Chilling Victory
5) Victorious Sweep
6) Conviction
7) Aura of Holy Might
8) Res

Manage? It manages itself. Although I guess if you really wanted to, you could use a Zealous scythe.
As for Hexes, that's sort of what Holy Veil, Remove Hex, Cure Hex, and the like are for. If hexes are an issue, it's generally safe to blame the Monks.

This made me lol. However. I know what I'm doing with my spare vampiric string now. Muahaha.
